Welcome to the Louisiana Fire Juniors recreational program.  We are very excited about the upcoming Spring 2021 season at our club and are looking forward to having your family be part of it. Below you will find some important information and dates regarding our Louisiana Fire Juniors 5U - 8U recreational program.  Please review the information and help us get the word out to those that may be interested in participating in the best sport in the world.  

Start Date

The fall season will be twelve weeks long and will begin Monday, January 25th.  The first weekend of games will be on Friday January 29th or Saturday, January 30th. The last weekend of games will take place on Friday April 30th or Saturday,  May 1st.

The league is divided into boys' and girls' divisions, which play fall, spring and summer seasons. Each season affords the opportunity to participate in about seven to ten games over the course of an 8 to 12 week season. Each team usually holds one or two one-hour practice sessions every week. The teams play what is called "Small-sided games", which consist of either 3v3/4v4 with no goalkeepers for 5U and 6U. 7U and 8U will play 7v7/8v8 and includes a goalkeeper. The game is played in quarters and substitutions can happen during any stoppage of play. 

Coaches

All teams will have a volunteer head coach and assistant coach.  These coaches will be under the supervision of the Age Group Director and the Directors of Coaching of the club.  Volunteer coaches will receive coaching clinics throughout the season.

Upon registration, you will choose the campus where you would like to participate (City Park Campus, Lions Campus or Westbank Campus). Once registration has closed the Age Group Directors for each campus will form teams.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Shaw High School will not be available for recreational soccer on the West-Bank for the spring 2021 session. Those wishing to participate in the spring session will need to register at our City Park or Lions Park (Kenner) locations for practices and games.

Archbishop Shaw is not allowing outside activities to take place on campus with the current situation with Covid19. We are hopeful as the situation continues to improve in the coming months that we will be allowed to resume soccer activities in the future.
