Welcome to the Louisiana Fire Juniors recreational program.  We are very excited about the upcoming summer 2021 season at our club and are looking forward to having your family be part of it. Below you will find some important information and dates regarding our Louisiana Fire Juniors U9/U10, U11/U13, and U14/U17 recreational programs.  Please review the information and help us get the word out to those that may be interested in participating in the best sport in the world.  

Start Date

The summer season will be seven weeks long and will begin  Tuesday June 1st.  The first games will be on Thursday June 3rd. The last games will take place on Thursday July 22nd.

The league will be gender specific if the numbers allow or co-ed, which play fall, spring and summer seasons. Each season affords the opportunity to participate in about seven to ten games over the course of an 7 to 10 week season. Each team usually holds two one-hour practice sessions every week. The teams play what is called "Small-sided games", which consist of either a 7v7/8v8 format and includes a goalkeeper. The game is played in two 25 minutes halves and substitutions can happen during any stoppage of play.

Coaches

All teams will have a volunteer head coach and assistant coach.  These coaches will be under the supervision of the Age Group Director and the Directors of Coaching of the club.  Volunteer coaches will receive coaching clinics throughout the season.  

Uniforms 
The Uniform consists of two game jerseys (1 x Red & 1 x White). U9-U17 players: red socks and red shorts. Package includes navy practice shirt. These can be purchased at Third Coast Soccer.

Upon registration, you will choose the campus where you would like to participate (City Park, Lions Park, Lions Park or Westbank). Once registration has closed the Age Group Directors for each campus will form teams.

Registration

Online Registration will open April 1st, 2021 and will close for the formation of teams on May 14th, 2021. After May 14th  we will still take registrations as long as spots are available on teams.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Shaw High School will not be available for recreational soccer on the West-Bank for the spring or summer 2021 sessions. Those wishing to participate in the spring or summer sessions will need to register at our City Park or Lions Park (Kenner) locations for practices and games.

Archbishop Shaw is not allowing outside activities to take place on campus with the current situation with Covid19. We are hopeful as the situation continues to improve in the coming months that we will be allowed to resume soccer activities in the future.
