Recreational U5/U8 Summer 2022 Soccer
Welcome to the Louisiana Fire Juniors recreational program. We are very excited about the upcoming Summer 2022 season at our club and are looking forward to having your family be part of it. Below you will find some important information and dates regarding our Louisiana Fire Juniors 5U - 8U recreational program. Please review the information and help us get the word out to those that may be interested in participating in the best sport in the world.
Start Date
The summer season will be seven weeks long and will begin Tuesday, May 31st The first games will be on Thursday June 2nd. The last games for the summer session will take place on Thursday July 14th.
The league is divided into boys' and girls' divisions* which play fall, spring and summer seasons (* Teams will be gender specific unless we don't have the numbers to form boys and girls teams then they will be coed). Each season affords the opportunity to participate in about seven to ten games over the course of an 7 to 10 week season. Each team usually holds one or two one-hour practice sessions every week. The teams play what is called "Small-sided games", which consist of either 3v3/4v4 with no goalkeepers for 5U and 6U. 7U and 8U will play 7v7/8v8 and includes a goalkeeper. The game is played in quarters and substitutions can happen during any stoppage of play.
Coaches
All teams will have a volunteer head coach and assistant coach. These coaches will be under the supervision of the Age Group Director and the Directors of Coaching of the club. Volunteer coaches will receive coaching clinics throughout the season.

Upon registration, you will choose the campus where you would like to participate (City Park Campus, Lions Campus). Once registration has closed the Age Group Directors for each campus will form teams.
