U5/U6 REC program at Lions Campus is divided into boys and girls divisions. 

Teams 

• U5 and U6 Girls play on the same teams (players born in 2017 and 2016)

Practice 

• Each team usually holds 2 one-hour practice session every week
• Practice days= Monday/ Wednesday OR Tuesday/ Thursday 
• Practice times= 5:30PM-6:30PM OR 6:00PM-7:00PM
• Players must wear shin guards; soccer cleats, water/ Gatorade, and should also bring a size 3 soccer ball to practice and games

Games

• The team play what is called "Small-sided games", which consist of either 3v3/4v4 with no goalkeepers 
• Games are 4 quarters of 12 minutes. Quarters can be extended to 15 minutes to allow more playing time for all participants
• Substitutions can happen during any stoppage of play
• Halftime break is 5 minutes. Breaks between quarters are 2 minutes
• All participants should get 50% of the time on the field during games
• Summer games are played on Thursday evening either at City Park or Lions Park
• Boys games are played at Lions Campus on a Saturday morning 
• Girls games are played at City Park Campus on a Friday night or Saturday morning
• Girls teams will have 2-3 games at Lions Park on a Saturday morning 
• The volunteer coaches referee the games
